color run

Ever done a  color run?  I few weeks ago I ran my first one with Julie and Kristy.  Being 4+ months along I wasn't sure how much running I would do in this race but I was able to run all 3.1 miles without walking!  This was Julie and Kristy's first race ever and I'm so glad we did it together.  The color chalk really added  fun element to the run!
The only thing that could have made this race better was if it started earlier (9:00, whew!) or was a little earlier in the year.  It was pretty hot!!
Last night I ran 2.65 miles.  I stopped running around this time when I was pregnant with Zara.  It's amazing that some women can run and even race all the way through their pregnancy.  My little run last night at 5 1/2 months was no small accomplishment for me, even if I was only running at a 12.5 minutes per mile pace.  It is amazing what our bodies can do if we take care of them!

  1. Good for you! It is a MEGA accomplishment when you are pregnant to even get out the door, let alone race. I didn't ever run much pregnant (mostly because I dislike running in general) but I did light weights up to the end. I don't know how ladies run marathons pregnant.

    1. I really love to run so it really stinks trying to run being pregnant. I had a gym membership with my last pregnancy and lifted weights to the end just like you but this time I have been relying on work out videos.

  2. I don't know how anyone runs! You are amazing. Can't believe how all 'my girls' are all so grown up and moms and everything. Does this mean I'm old? I keep saying that I am trying to get myself to believe it but no luck so far.
