November snapshots

Today is Andrew's birthday!  He turned  33, which sounds like a good number don't you think?  This is going to be a great year!  In November I turned 28 (yay!), we went off sugar, again, until Thanksgiving, I made my first lattice pie, Ruth and Ammon announced they're expecting, us sisters threw Julie a baby shower, Maggie had her baby blessing, Elliot's teacher called and said he has better handwriting than her (awesome!), we celebrated Guy Fawkes Day, and Andrew learned how to tile.  The kitchen has been a big focus these past few weeks and will continue to be for a while.  It's looking great though!

September snapshots

This month Avery and Andrew went on their first daddy-daughter camp out, Zara continuously made new funny faces, Elliot started climbing in the tree again, and I have been working on making meal plans, and sticking to them!  We look forward to all the great weather and activities October has to offer us.

August Snapshots

Three weeks late but here are my August photos.  Summer and swimming seem like a long time ago and we are looking forward to the holidays.  I'm feeling out of element here but I hope to be back soon!

July snapshots

July!  What a fun, not to mention hot, month!!  In July my best friend got married, we painted our house (finally, yay!), we pool hopped and went to the lake, and Elliot turned 6.  What a big boy!  We are just about ready for school to start.  Less than a week.  As much as I'm looking forward to the new school year I'm really going to miss Elliot.  This will be his first day being at school all day and I can't help thinking how much growth and change will happen.  But it's time and I need to let him go.  A little at a time.

Looking at these pictures it's hard to believe how fast time as flown.  Is it really already July 5th?  June was a special month. It was the month my baby sister, Ruth, got married.  I also threw her and my best friend Julie Dangerfield bridal showers.  Julie D. and I went to an Idina Menzel concert.  She put on an amazing performance!  In June we celebrated Father's Day, I had my first root canal (blah!), Zara started saying "mama" voluntarily (this is progress!), and we did whatever we could to keep cool and hydrated.

May was such a wonderful month.  Elliot finished Kindergarten and lost his first tooth the first day of summer, Avery finished pre-school and mysteriously had hives (still don't know how she got them), and Zara has taken up climbing on top of everything, getting into everything, drawing on everything, and she found her laugh!

  So ya, everything is normal and happy.  In June we look forward to Ruth's bridal shower and wedding, my best friend Julie Dangerfield's bridal shower, and I'm taking a class on Photoshop Elements.  So fun!

April snapshots

Life has been one thing after another lately.  Mostly good things!  In April Avery Andrew's family were still visiting, Avery turned 4, my grandma passed away but because of it some family visited form NY that we haven't seen in years, and we even squeezed in a work/play trip to California.  What a month!  I hope to share some more details soon.

March  has been good to us.  Andrew's family have been visiting and we have been cherishing every minute! Their visit also pushed us into getting around to some necessary (and unnecessary) house projects done.  I can't wait to share some later this month!

A little late but here you are!

In February Zara turned one! Elliot and Avery had their Valentine's Day Party, which is a big deal at that age.  Andrew and I went to Spinato's for Valentines Day and we can't wait to take his family.  Speaking of the in-laws . . they arrive in two weeks!!  Things to do!

January snapshots

January was a lovely month.  One of my goals was to turn the junk room into a guest bedroom.  We are halfway there!  Spending time with our three littles is often more important than home improvement.  Having said that, I did throw a baby shower and host a clothing exchange so many things kept me busy.

This month:

Zara // got her first tooth and took her first steps

Avery// started dance class and started to spell her name (just "Av" so far)

Elliot// got taller (I swear!) and loved bunny-sitting his aunt

I// started watercolor painting for the first time and started orchestra again

Andrew// went off sugar and worked out at least 3 times a week
